Christopher Reeve riprende il suo ruolo manifesto, approfondendo il lato umano del suo personaggio grazie a una riunione di classe in cui Clark Kent rivede Lana Lang (Annette O'Toole).
E quando l'uomo di ferro diventa il peggior nemico di se stesso a causa dell'esposizione alla Kryptonite, Reeve dimostra di saper sostenere entrambe le parti con uguale maestria.
