Which is the weight of a movie? All movies are encoded from 1,6Mbps up to 2 Mbps in Windows Media Video (WMV) format, DVD quality. The average size of a movie file is about 1,5Gb.

Do I have to register?  No. The e-mail address we ask you serves the only purpose of sending you the data to download the movie and the “virtual ticket”. We don’t save any e-mail account, in conormity with Privacy policies.

My old analogic modem surf the net at 56Kbps: can I buy a movie?   Yes. The process of purchase is available, but the download time requested would be longer than the time at your disposal for the download. You can buy a movie using an analogic modem, but it’s better do download it through an ADSL line, surfing at least at 640 Kbps.

Which is the best way to download a movie?  The easiest way is to click the “download” button right after the purchase, or click on the link you will receive via e-mail, but we recommend the use of a client software FTP like SmartFTP (freeware). More info about this software download, installation and use on http://www.filmisnow.it/smartftp. Important: if your download stops you don’t have to buy the movie twice!

What if I get disconnected while I’m downloading? I want to download the movie in different moments. Is that possible?   You can download the movies you bought (purchase) within 7 days from the purchase date. The rented movies you can be watched for 5 days in a row and the password has to be activated within 48 hours from the purchase date. Using browser like Internet Explorer you can drag-and-drop the movie directly on your desktop, but in case of disconnection you will have to start the download all over again. Instead, using a client software FTP like SmartFTP, even if the download stops, you can resume it without having to start all over again. So, technically, it IS possibile to download the movie in different moments.

What kind of software is “SmartFTP”? SmartFTP is an FTP client: it allows the connection with a remote server to download files using the FTP protocol, the same used on our website. It allows to stop and restart download from the interruption point (i.e. disconnection) and your will be able to resume download in different moments. How many times can I watch the movie I downloaded?  If you bought the movie, actually purchasing the property license, you can watch it anytime you want. If you rented it, you will be able to watch it for 5 days from the purchasing date. The only limit is rapresented by your PC: you purchased 2 virtual licenses, one for the very same PC you bought the movie with, and the second for another PC. If you wish to buy two other licenses to use the film on other PCs, you will be charged of 1 €.

Can I watch the movie while I’m downloading it?   Yes: be sure to drag-and-drop the movie icon on your desktop, then right-click and select “Play”. According to your speed, to avoid annoying interruptions, we recommend to wait at least 5-10 minutes before starting.

What payment system can I use?   We accept Visa and Mastercards credit cards with secure transaction SSL at 128 bit, or Paypal if you have a Paypal account. If you don’t have one, choose to pay with Paypal and the system will suggest you to create a free Paypal account.

Which are the minimum system requirements to watch your movies?   You need a PC with Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP SP2 operating system; Pentium Processor III 600 Mhz or higher; at least 256 Mb RAM and a graphic card with 16 Mb RAM and the latest drivers. We recommend to perform a compatibility test by playing a short clip. To perform the test, click on this LINK.

How can I store the movies I bought? Buying a movie means purchase a license that doesn’t allow you to burn movies on DVD. To free space on your hard disk you can transfer downloaded movies on another device (DVD, CD, USB-key), but to watch it you’ll have to copy the movie again on the PCs where you activated your licenses.

Can I watch movie on my TV-set? Yes. Your PC should have a graphic card with a TV-out plug that will allow you to link your PC to the TV-set via a composite connector cable or S-Video (depending on the card). You can also use the VGA-exit: be sure that your TV-set is equipped with this type of input.

How do I activate the licenses I’ve bought?   Using the password displayed right after the purchase (and sent by e-mail), you’ll be able to download the movie and to activate the license. Just insert the password in the appropriate window when you open Windows Media Player. You have to do that only the first time you watch the movie. During this process yuo have to be connected to the internet. Be sure to activate the license only on PCs where you want to watch the movie. Password is valid twice, for private usage.

Are the movies in your library new arrivals, like the ones you usually find in a video store?   Our library is in updated on a weekly basis with the latest titles available on the market, but you will find also old classic you won’t find in traditional video stores.

I use Mac computers or Linux operating system: can I buy movies on your website?   Yes, you can buy them, but in order to see them you have to download and install VirtualBox (freeware). This program will allow you to install and execute different virtual operating systems: MS-DOS, Windows 90, 2000, NT, 2003, XP, Vista, Linux Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE, Slackware, Xandros, Fedora, Mandriva and many others. Which software I have to use to watch the movies I’ve bought? Windows Media Player (upgraded to the last version available) is the only player allowed to play our movies.

I can’t download movies.  Be sure to have no active firewall on your PC that could stop the FTP transfers. Be sure to insert the correct login data (we recommend to do copy/paste from the e-mail you received after the purchase). How can I enable cookies?   If you are using Internet Explorer, choose Tools / Internet Options and select the LOW option in the Privacy area. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, Tools / Options, click the paddlock icon Privacy and flag “ALLOW SITES TO SET COOKIES”.
